I am 49 years old, and the father of three daughters who are the light of my life.

I had an eventful 80s childhood, spending a lot of time outdoors, reading any science fiction book I could get my hands on and participating in Astronomy classes, that took a tech turn when I got a my first computer at 10 years old, a Sinclair Spectrum 48K. Learning how to code from printed magazines, running software from cassette tapes, and programming games from scratch instilled in me a life long fascination in everything computerized and an enduring curiosity to solve logical problems.

In 1999, during my 3rd year of computer science studies, together with two high school buddies, I chose to take the dive into the entrepreneurial world and started my first company, WebMap. I went through all the phases of fund raising, defining and building an MVP product, relocating to the US, launching a consumer software product in CES in Vegas, working with corporations such as IBM and Worldspan and going through the ups and downs of the Internet bubble era.

Since I got “bitten” by the entrepreneurial bug I founded and invested in many start up companies with a recent focus on online education. Tectonic forces are changing education as we know it. From the move to hybrid learning fueled by the pandemic to the bursting student loan bubble. I co-founded ScholarshipOwl, the biggest and most advanced scholarship management platform, he go to destination for Gen Z when they look to finances their studies. And more recently I launched Teech, an all in one live teaching platform, that enables teachers around the world to finally move online and teach all their one on one and group classes to a global student base.
